Top Hinged Casement Window – Ventilation That Works in the Rain
A top hinged casement window - also known as an awning or top-hung window - pivots outward from the bottom edge while remaining hinged along the top of the frame. The open sash forms a natural canopy over the opening, deflecting rainwater away so the window can stay open for fresh air even during wet weather. SKATE's top hinged casement windows are built on thermally broken 6063-T5 aluminium profiles with stainless-steel friction stays that hold the sash securely at any opening angle, resisting wind gusts and sash weight alike.
The compact opening arc makes this window ideal above kitchen worktops, in bathrooms, and as ventilation vents within larger fixed-glass assemblies.
